Logline: After years of chemical torture, Rose’s nappy hair is officially done — and falling out in clumps to prove it.

Rose, 30, a Réunion Island girl living in Paris, is flying home tomorrow for her brother’s wedding. Mission: look perfect. Plan: one last straightening.

Her hair’s plan: absolutely not. It goes magically alive and declares war on the straight-hair diktat — because if Rose won’t stand up for herself, her curls will.

A woman who’s spent her whole life following the rules is about to go on the most unexpected journey — straight back to her roots.

Pitch : Rose, créole blanche vivant à Paris, est au pied du mur. Ses cheveux crépus, épuisés par des années de défrisage, tombent par poignées. Fini le diktat du lisse… ses cheveux ont décidé de ne plus se laisser faire ! Pile au moment où Rose rentre au bercail à La Réunion, et doit affronter le regard de sa famille qui l’attend au tournant.
